Create Modern Art with Acrylic Prints

Seeing your Photos on Acrylic is an eye-popping experience. The combination of super vivid printing and the perspective of depth behind the acrylic creates an incredible vibrancy to your photo that really makes it pop. If you are looking for a medium that will give your images maximum punch, this is definitely it.

Our Special Recipe

At posterjack, your photo is mirrored and printed directly onto the back of a 99.99% optically pure, cast acrylic sheet. Then it is protected on the back with a flood coat of white ink to seal the image in. Due to this printing technique, the UV resistant inks, and the natural UV inhibitors in the Acrylic, these prints will not fade for 120 years.

High Quality in Every Detail

In order to create the very best acrylic print, we made sure that every detail is perfect. The edges are smoothly polished and perfectly clear. We print right to the edge of the acrylic for a sleek modern look. Then we drill a hole in each corner so that your print is ready-to-hang with our high end standoff installation kit(included with every print). So when you receive your acrylic print in the mail, all you have to do is hang it and love it.

Where does posterjack Ship To?

Posterjack.ca ships to anywhere in Canada. We do not ship to any other countries at this point in time. All shipping takes place through Fedex.

How much does shipping cost?

Our standard shipping rate is $8.50. This is a flat rate and applies to your entire order, regardless of the quantity or size. A rural delivery surcharge of $20 is applied to remote addresses, due to the higher costs of delivering to rural areas. This charge only applies if the second digit in your postal code is deemed rural or if you live in North West Territories, Yukon, or Nunavut.

Is my Acrylic Print going to arrive in good condition?

All orders are packaged with our time-tested, super-tough packaging materials. Less than 1% of our packages are damaged. However, all of our shipments are fully insured, so should any damage occur during shipment, you are completely covered.

How long does it take you to produce my Acrylic Print?

Acrylic Prints take 7-10 business days to produce. This is an AVERAGE time. If we have a big rush of orders, it can take longer than the time listed. Please bear in mind that each piece of art is a custom product that needs to be produced.

How long will it take until my package arrives?

Once we ship your item, we'll send you a tracking number immediately. If you'd like more information, please see our Production & Shipping Page

Our Free Quality Check!

The very first thing we do is take a look at your image resolution, compare this with the chosen print size, and give you a free quality score for printing (shown on the first screen after uploading). No more second guessing if your image is suitable to print large! If your score isn't as high as you would like, you can try switching to a smaller print size. If your score is unsuitable, that means we won't let you proceed as print results will not be acceptable. In this case, please choose a smaller print size, a higher resolution image, or contact customer support for further help.

What type of file should I upload?

We process all common image formats. Normally your digital camera or your graphic design program will produce these formats. These include JPEG, TIFF, BMP, PNG, etc. Our preferred image type is JPEG, which produces excellent print results! We do not accept PDF documents.

If you aren't a big colour geek, don't worry, your camera produces images in a colour space we can handle (typically sRGB). If you prefer you can also upload images in Adobe RGB, or any other popular RGB Colour Profile. Please do not upload images in the CMYK colour space.

How large of a file can I upload?

You can upload files up to 50 MB in size. Should your images be larger than 50 MB, the best place to start would be checking they are saved in JPEG format (TIFF's generally produce larger file sizes, at no real advantage for print quality). If you need further assistance with file sizing, please contact us for details.

What is an Acrylic Print?

An Acrylic Print is a modern and fresh way to display your photos. The look is very clean and simple which puts the focus on the photo and the quality of the product. We reverse the photo and print onto the back of a piece of acrylic. Then we seal in the print and add opacity by printing a flood coat of white behind it.

How does an Acrylic Print compare to an Acrylic Face Mount?

An Acrylic Face Mount is an older method of making acrylic art which requires printing on paper, then adhering the face of this print onto the back of an acrylic. Here's a chart to help you understand the differences:

Your photo is mirrored then printed directly onto the acrylic. There is no glue or adhesive used and the result is 100% optically pure. Your photo is printed on paper, then the face of the print is adhered to the back of the acrylic. Depending on the quality of adhesive, the product may last a number of years, but eventual peeling and delamination will occur.
We seal the back of the print with white ink infused with titanium for an extremely durable finish. The back of the print is made of photo paper. This can be easily scratched, gouged, etc.
Our Acrylic Prints are suitable for use outdoors and in humid, damp, wet conditions. Face Mounted Acrylic will be destroyed if exposed to humidity as the paper will absorb the moisture and start to bubble.

Do your acrylic prints go right to the edge of the acrylic?

Yes, our acrylic prints go right to the edge of the sheet. We have a laser polished edge, so you can see the colours shining through the edge, which is an amazing feature of our Acrylic Prints. Take a look at our product shots in the viewer above to get a close look at the polished edge and borderless printing!
