Custom framing at Posterjack
There are framing stores on every corner, in every city. Custom framing is great. It is also very expensive. Sometimes you just want a frame that looks simple and modern. One that won't look outdated in 10 years. For those times, you need Posterjack.
Yes, this is 2015. Yes, you are shopping on the Internet. Despite that, we took a page out of Henry's book circa 1927. Gallery Frames come in four timeless colours; Rich Black, Alpine White, Espresso Brown, and Light Walnut. All of our components are made in Canada - from the hardwood frame, to the low glare framers acrylic, right down to the crystal white acid free mat board.
At Posterjack, we are always making things easy for our customers. So when you order a framed photo from us, it arrives ready to hang. Just take it out of the box, admire it for a few seconds, then hang it on the wall.

We might do framing like Henry Ford, but we print like the Jetsons. Posterjack's photo-enlargement print quality is the gold standard. Whether you decide you want us to frame your print, or you have it custom framed elsewhere, you can be sure that your photo will be a work of art all on it's own.

Where does posterjack Ship To?
Posterjack.ca ships to anywhere in Canada. We do not ship to any other countries at this point in time. All shipping takes place through Fedex.
How much does shipping cost?
Our standard shipping rate is $8.50. This is a flat rate and applies to your entire order, regardless of the quantity or size. A rural delivery surcharge of $20 is applied to remote addresses, due to the higher costs of delivering to rural areas. This charge only applies if the second digit in your postal code is deemed rural or if you live in North West Territories, Yukon, or Nunavut.
Is my Framed Photo going to arrive in good condition?
All orders are packaged with our time-tested, super-tough packaging materials. Less than 1% of our packages are damaged. However, all of our shipments are fully insured, so should any damage occur during shipment, you are completely covered.
How long does it take you to produce my Framed Photo?
Framed Photos take 4-7 business days to produce. This is an AVERAGE time. If we have a big rush of orders, it can take longer than the time listed. Please bear in mind that each piece of art is a custom product that needs to be produced.
How long will it take until my package arrives?
Once we ship your item, we'll send you a tracking number immediately. If you'd like more information, please see our Shipping and Production Page
Our Free Quality Check!
The very first thing we do is take a look at your image resolution, compare this with the chosen print size, and give you a free quality score for printing (shown on the first screen after uploading). No more second guessing if your image is suitable to print large! If your score isn't as high as you would like, you can try switching to a smaller print size. If your score is unsuitable, that means we won't let you proceed as print results will not be acceptable. In this case, please choose a smaller print size, a higher resolution image, or contact customer support for further help.
What type of file should I upload? We process the four most common image types. All digital cameras and graphic design programs will produce at least one of these file types. The types we accept are JPEG, TIFF, BMP, & PNG. Our preferred file type is JPEG, which produces excellent print results and efficient file sizes! If your image is in a different format, please save it as one of the above formats before submitting to us.
Your digital camera produces images in a colour space we support – typically sRGB. If you prefer, you can also upload images in Adobe RGB or any other popular RGB Colour Profile. Please do not upload images in the CMYK colour space - colour shifting is likely to occur.
How large of a file can I upload?
You can upload files up to 50 MB in size. If your image is larger than 50 MB, check to ensure it has been saved as a JPEG (TIFF files are generally a lot larger than JPEGs with no real advantage for print quality).
There is also an image resolution limit of 80 megapixels (MP). Mega is a prefix for one million, meaning your image can have up to eighty million pixels. That’s a huge amount! In fact, even the highest end cameras don’t take images that large. So you can be sure this is more than enough resolution to create excellent prints at any of our sizes. To calculate the megapixels of your image, you only need to know the pixel dimensions of your image and plug them into this simple formula: (pixel width * pixel height) / 1,000,000 = MP.

What is a Framed Photo?
A Framed Photo is a ready-to-hang product from Posterjack. Unless you are going to frame photos yourself, this is the best value for custom framing in Canada. Just upload your image and we will print it and frame it for you. Our contemporary frame selection represents the very latest frame styles used in art galleries and favoured by interior designers. Our Gallery Frames are solid wood and Made-in-Canada. We professionally frame your artwork just like they do in a framing store (we don't use cheap Made-in-China framing kits).
Will part of my image be lost behind the mat?
In order to properly frame your image, 0.25" will go under the mat on all sides. Anything on your image that is at the very edge will be hidden under the mat. Therefore, we do not advise placing text close to the edge, or cropping your photo so tightly that important parts (such as a face) go right to the edge.
What is the size of the mat and mat opening?
The mat size is not standardized. Please see the table below for the exact dimensions of each Framed Photo product.
What quality of materials are used in Framed Photos?
We pride ourselves on providing the best framing value in Canada. To do that we use premium materials. Our frames are solid wood. Our mat board is Crystal White and Acid Free. Our framer's acrylic is optically clear and UV inhibiting. We print on Hahnemuehle Photo Rag 308. We archival hinge-mount your print and secure it in place neat and tidy with framer's points.
